A growing family needed space to expand and the previous multi-unit building was now too small for them. This renovation added a custom connecting staircase to bring the lower and upper levels back together while preserving the historic details in the upstairs kitchen and dining room.
The sleek, modern design of the stairs contrasts beautifully with the more traditional elements found in the upstairs kitchen and dining area. The staircase features solid wooden treads tied into a minimalist metal framework that supports the custom wood handrail.
The lower level efficiency kitchen and bathroom represented a different style of finishes and the seamless transition between wood details fabricated by our custom carpentry and metalworking team brought the two spaces together beautifully.
